The Open Studios are essentially a self-guided tour through Cambridge, visiting artist’s studios and workshops. This year the event is taking place on April 26th and 27th, 2014. There are privately owned spaces, as well as group areas where artists display and sell their latest creations. You can buy works directly from the artist. This is one of the most fun adventures you will ever go on. As a fellow Cantabrigian business, A Street Frames has framed art purchased at Open Studios in past years, and we look forward to framing art at a discounted rate, especially to support our local artists.

Cambridge Open Studios are a great opportunity to meet the artists and tour their exhibition spaces, lofts and studios. Enter their world of creativity. The event features framed and unframed art, sculpture and ceramics. Other studios belong to jewelery designers, mixed media artists and photographers. The best way to get there is via public transportation, from there you can take a free shuttle bus. The shuttle bus runs in a circuit and has two dedicated stops at 1000 Mass. Avenue (on the hour) and 66 Sherman Street (every half hour).
